Here are some of the photos of the barn and its four-year transformation from a lambing shed and hayloft to a fantastic space for family and friends to get together. There are also images from Brook Farm and the surrounding countryside.

The barn was delapidated and the roof was in danger of collapse when we decided to renovate in 2017. We took great pains to preserve as much of the character of the barn as possible, demolishing only where necessary and re-using the original stone to rebuild. The walls are two-feet thick in places! We also managed to preserve some of the original huge roof trusses and beams and exposed as many of the internal stone walls as we could.

We have furnished using some of the old farming implements from Brook Farm, such as hay forks, and in the dining room there is an old pew from St Mary’s Church in Kelbrook.
